David Lynch’s film style and its effect on the audience based on Mulholland Drive
In my thesis, I am studying the mind processes when it encounters visual anomalies like some of David Lynch’s sequences. I am examining the reasons for the diversity of reactions to Lynch’s films based on cognitive studies on how the mind functions. Through the analysis of Mulholland Drive I am exploring the effects Lynch’s film style have on the audience. By the end of the research, I concluded that to explore causality in Lynch’s art, the audience needs to observe the films thouroughly, and understanding depends on the reflective abilities of the viewer and the circumstances of the experience.

Entropia
Entropia is a film about three parallel realities of a young woman. They have a common inner universe, where the three characters live in different circumstances. The conflict of the film is that none of them function happily without the others. Monotony makes them frustrated, they cannot satisfy their desires. Suddenly, an error in the system ruins the spaces and the three girls meet. The feel of the meeting is cathartic though it makes the whole universe collapse and let something new begin.
