Although in Hungarian high schools the subject of visual culture is not highly appreciated, it provides relatively big freedom and exciting potentials. In my thesis, I am looking for various opportunities in teaching this subject as well as a personal teaching method. The first one of the three alternatives shows the interdisciplinary nature of visual culture. The second one also highlights the importance of design thinking, even though it is not often taught in high schools. The third point discusses the problems of motivating students. The theoretical points are illustrated with practical examples.
