Borders Alive

I grow up in a small village in South-Hungary, next to the Croatian border. After the First World War, as consequences of the Treaty of Trianon that laid down the new border-lines, in the south the border-line and the river (Dráva) formed an interesting parallel. My artwork is investigating the dynamics of the two lines, the south-border and the river Dráva, and how this affected the community there. The new border-lines not only changed the size of the country but the life's of its people and the relationship they had with their home land.
